I was very pleased with the courses. They provided excellent exam preparation and had excellent teachers.
I highly recommend them!!!
Some teachers lack teaching skills (Merle) – a lack of tact and an unwillingness to listen to others' opinions, unintentional insults, and the imposition of their own position. When you speak Estonian, she constantly interrupts and corrects you, which then leads to a complex that you don't know how to speak Estonian at all. She knows both Russian and Estonian very well, but she still needs to learn how to speak.
Also, the teaching system is very demanding – you study for two hours, three times a week, and homework takes two hours or more – if you do it carefully, looking up unfamiliar words. Plus, they assign additional vocabulary learning for each homework assignment – another hour at least. In fact, there shouldn't be any personal life or free time during the courses if you want to finish them, because on top of all the above, you also need to review the material covered, because the topics rush one after another and are repeated only when the students have forgotten everything. They rush to get everything done and remember nothing. As I wrote above, there's no teaching system here, just rote learning. They give you the material, you practice it, and then you cram it. You can certainly pass the exam in this way, but little will stick in your head over time.
