Course Goal

To provide fundamental theoretical knowledge and basic practical skills required for confident work with the Linux operating system. The course builds an understanding of Linux principles, the command line, users, processes, networking, and basic system administration.

Target Audience

This course is designed for anyone who wants to gain theoretical and practical Linux skills and considers Linux an essential tool for a future career in IT, including:

- entry-level IT specialists and students of technical disciplines
- QA engineers and software testers
- software developers
- technical support specialists
- junior system administrators
- professionals working with server and cloud-based solutions
- anyone who needs a basic understanding of Linux for work or study

The course covers more than 30 key competencies, including:

- fundamentals of Linux operating system architecture and principles
- working with the command line (CLI), basic commands and utilities
- Linux file system, permissions, and ownership
- users and groups, sudo, and basic security practices
- processes, system resources, and their management
- systemd and service management
- working with logs and problem diagnosis

A laptop can be provided for the duration of the course if required.
