Cloud Technologies for Beginners

The course provides a systematic introduction to cloud technologies and practical skills for working with modern cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Participants study cloud architecture fundamentals: service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), compute resources (virtual machines), cloud networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, security groups), storage types (object and block), identity and access management (IAM: users, roles, policies, least-privilege principle), and observability basics (logs, metrics, alerts). The course also introduces automation: Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment.

Each topic is reinforced with hands-on labs — participants navigate cloud consoles, deploy and configure virtual machines, set up networking and access rules, manage IAM policies, and complete a final infrastructure deployment scenario.

Training is conducted in a classroom format in central Tallinn (Tartu mnt. 18) and/or online via Zoom. Group size is up to 8 people. All learning materials are included.
