Software Tester (QA Engineer) for Beginners

This course is designed for anyone who wants to start an IT career from scratch and gain practical skills in manual software testing. It is suitable both for complete beginners and for those already working in IT who want to transition into QA or systematize their existing knowledge.

The training is fully practice-oriented and follows the professional standard Tarkvaraarendaja, level 6, aligned with ISTQB requirements. Step by step, students learn real tools and processes used in IT companies.

During the course, you will:

- study the basics of test design and learn how to create checklists, test cases, bug reports, and test plans through hands-on examples;
- test web and mobile applications using DevTools, an Android emulator, and various analysis tools;
- learn client-server architecture and REST API testing with Postman and curl;
- create SQL queries and work with relational databases in DBeaver;
- gain experience with team collaboration using YouTrack and become familiar with Agile/Scrum;
- complete a final project by testing a service that includes a web application, a database, and a mobile application;
- practice in educational simulators that model real QA tasks;
- add 8 practical projects to your portfolio;
- receive job-search support, including CV and LinkedIn preparation;
- take part in interview preparation sessions, including mock interviews and typical QA interview questions.

Requirements: Basic computer skills and a modern computer.

The course is held online twice a week. Each lesson includes theory, practical examples, and hands-on exercises.

Homework is reviewed by the instructor, who provides individual feedback.

At the end of the course, students take a final test and receive a certificate upon meeting the course requirements.
