Data Analysis with SQL

Data drives decisions in every field today, and SQL is the key tool for getting answers from it directly — without waiting on a developer. This hands-on course takes you from the fundamentals of relational databases to confident analytical querying.

Working with real databases in MySQL, you will master:
• relational database fundamentals — tables, relationships, data types;
• querying and filtering data (SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, logical operators);
• aggregation and grouping (SUM, AVG, COUNT, GROUP BY, HAVING);
• joining tables with every type of JOIN, plus UNION;
• working with dates and time-series analysis;
• window functions for analytics (ROW_NUMBER, RANK, LAG, LEAD);
• temporary tables, views, and the basics of stored procedures and user-defined functions.

Every topic is reinforced with exercises on real data, and the course ends with an independent final project — from defining the task to presenting the results — that becomes a work sample for your portfolio.

No programming background is required: a confident PC user can start from scratch. The course suits beginning analysts; specialists who work with data in marketing, finance or product; managers, developers and QA engineers; people retraining for a new field; and entrepreneurs who want to analyse data from their own systems.

On completion you will be able to independently write SQL queries for real work tasks, filter and aggregate data, and carry out initial statistical processing and time-series analysis — a solid, practical foundation for working in data analysis.
